T hese pages have been created to give some added help to others that may be researching for ancestors in Greene County, Virginia and surrounding counties. I have been to each cemetery site listed, transcribed the information and taken a photo of most of the tombstones (credit has been given to the submitter by placing their name on the photo). I don't have an exact count but there are at least 750 individuals with 104 different surnames listed in these cemeteries.
My family chart has been posted at the Shiflett Web Site (Hasten & Lydia Shiflett Family of VA). If you have any Shiflett's or Morris', please visit the Shiflett site, you just might find an ancestor. Note: This site is just one of my many hobbies. I have only transcribed cemeteries that have a family connection, with the exception of the Moyers' cemetery. There is no connection that I have found yet. Sorry, time does not permit me to do lookup requests for individuals or cemeteries that are not already listed here.
